CONSTRUCTION MATERIAL:
The umbrella is straw while the umbrella pole is made of "wild" pine wood, impregnated, and turned.
Did you know that...: Impregnation in the broadest sense is the coloring of wood (usually varnishes) by the dipping method. The normal impregnation of the wood, however, is done in a furnace under pressure. There, the wood, through the application of a preservative substance, is protected for many years from fungi and insects, as a result of which it acquires a lifespan many times longer than that of non-impregnated wood.
The metal frame is galvanized. This means a zinc coating for oxidation resistance. The service life of the galvanized coating can reach up to 30 years for galvanized of excellent quality, although the installation near the sea reduces this period considerably.

MAINTENANCE:
For the best maintenance of the metal parts of the umbrella, it would be good to clean it daily with a slightly damp cloth to remove excessive salt accumulation. In this way, it will be kept in good condition for many years.
