Synthetic leather is the evolution of leatherette but with the main characteristic that it is not easily distinguished from real leather. Its composition is basically polyurethane and polyamide micro-fibers in contrast to leatherette which basically contains PVC.
At the bottom of the curved arrangement of the chair base, there are plastic plugs to protect the floor.

MAINTENANCE:
The armchair does not need any special maintenance. The metal frame is durable while the chrome coating provides additional protection. Therefore, a good sweep with a damp cloth is sufficient.
PU leather is cleaned with a damp cloth and only in case of persistent stains can you use a mild cleaner. In general, PU does not wrinkle and is not affected by the sun.

INSTALLATION:
The ease of fitting the new star depends on how easily you can remove the old "star" from the chair suspension. Usually, suspensions get stuck in the "star" after many years of use, and you need to tap the old "star" evenly with a hammer to dislodge it from the suspension. Then simply clip the new star onto the suspension and the chair is ready for use.
