Mini Story: The story of the Bergere (see bergere) begins somewhere in 1720, in the salons of the Palace of Versailles during the time of Louis XV, where it was considered the seat of the nobles and the upper class. Its construction from special wood, combined with the luxurious fabrics of the time, gave it the feeling of a throne. From its early years it was considered the “queen” of seating, both for the privacy it offered with its open arms, high back and turned sides, and for its dominance of the space as a decorative element. The Bergere armchair changed its appearance over the years (depending on the season and fashion). Dressed in floral fabrics, leather, many different patterns with various textures, even Chesterfield. The entire armchair is upholstered in high quality PU leather. This is synthetic leather and has a linen texture. Synthetic leather is the evolution of leatherette but with the main characteristic that it is not easily distinguished from real leather. Its composition is basically polyurethane and polyamide micro-fibers in contrast to leatherette which basically contains PVC.

MAINTENANCE:
Thanks to the durable construction materials, the armchair is user-friendly. PU leather does not need special maintenance because it does not wear easily, does not "wrinkle", and the color is not affected by solar radiation. One wipe with a soft damp cloth is enough. If there is a stain that does not come out with a wet cloth, then only a mild detergent with a neutral effect can be used.
